Who are we?

We are FIRST Tech Challenge(FTC) robotics team 5096 Monkey Madness from Huntsville, AL. We strive to make a very competitive robot, apply robotics to the real world, spread FIRST, and just to have fun.

Our Robot

This year we created a robot named Si. He can score on every game element of Block Party.

Outreach

Our team is big on outreach. We do many outreach events all throughout the year from hosting and volunteering at tournaments to programming classes. We are pictured volunteering at the first ever Alabama FTC qualifier.

Mentoring

We mentor several FTC teams and FLL teams. It is a great experience to help other teams reach their potential.

Fun

Robotics is meant to be fun. We are posing with a living statue in St. Louis.

Rewards

Robotics helped us reach new heights from being a rookie team one year then becoming part of the World Championshian alliance the next.

Good Friends

We have become friends with teams all around the nation and world. We are pictured above with our good friends 4251 Cougars and 4140 Fish in the Boat from the 2013 World Championship.

Sponsors

We are very thankful for our many sponsors. We would not be able to compete without them.

Who are we?

We are a 3rd year First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics team this season of 2013-2014. We are from Huntsville, Alabama. Before we became an FTC team, we participated in FLL since 2006 until we were old enough to switch to FTC.

This past year we were fortunate enough to win in the Kentucky State Championship and proceed on to the FTC World Championship for the second year. While at the championship were picked by 4251 Cougar Robotics to compete in the finals with 4140 Fish in the Boat. Our alliance together were undefeated through the finals, winning the entire World Championship.

This year, we advanced from the San Antonio, TX South Super Regional to the FTC World Championship We are looking forward to competing against the best teams in the world.

What's FIRST

FIRST Robotics is a robotics program to catch the interest of young students founded by Dean Kamen, the inventor of the Segway. It is composed of four different programs: Jr. FIRST Lego Legue, FIRST Lego Legue, FIRST Tech Challenge, and FIRST Robotics Competition.

How to Get Involved

There are several ways to get involved. If you are student, you can ask your friends to help you form up a team. If you are an adult, you can mentor and coach a team. Forming teams are not the only way to get involved. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer at qualifiers like as referees, judges, and even work the concession.
